As Vice President for Development and Communications for the Foundation for Independent Living, the funding arm for Mountain State Centers for Independent Living, Dee's primary responsibilities will include fund raising and resource development to support Mountain State Centers for Independent Living. Dee will also be coordinating the marketing program for MTSTCIL and Foundation projects.
Dee is a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia. He spent some time living in Houston, Texas prior to moving to Huntington in January of 1980. Dee is a veteran television and radio broadcaster with more than 30 years experience. He has worked as a news director, anchor, news/sports reporter, radio talk show host and play by play announcer for Marshall Football. Dee has worked as a marketing director for a local company with stores in West Virginia and Arkansas.
Dee is currently the Chair of the Mayor's Committee on People with Disabilities in Huntington and has served on several local boards, commissions and with local youth basketball, football and baseball programs.
Dee attended Parkersburg Community College and Marshall University, majoring in Political Science.
Dee enjoys all sports, is an avid golfer. Dee also enjoys gardening, weight lifting and writing. Dee currently lives in Huntington with his wife, Carol has three children and two grandchildren.
