Ms. Stratton has worked closely with people with disabilities in her professional career for more than twenty years. Becoming a board member at Mountain State Centers for Independent Living was a natural fit.
Ms. Stratton worked at DHHR and assisted people with disabilities to identify available community supports and government assistance programs. She was the Human Resources Director at Gulf Coast Community Care, a non-profit organization in Clearwater, FL. Gulf Coast offered fifty-two programs, most of which served children, the disabled, and the elderly.
Ms. Stratton is currently employed at River Park Hospital, a behavioral health and psychiatric hospital located in Huntington, WV, as the Director of Human Resources. Ms. Stratton also has six years experience in accounting for a large multi-billion dollar company.
Ms. Stratton believes in the work of MTSTCIL and volunteered to be on the board to assist as needed. She is especially excited about the recent expansion of the Employment Services Division and looks forward to supporting this program and offering insights into the employment of people with disabilities from her perspective as a Human Resources Director and Compliance Officer.
