Mountain State Centers for Independent Living (MTSTCIL) will monitor the following budgetary items:

• Maintain current level of funding ($340,000.00) for the Ron Yost Personal Assistance Services (RYPAS) Program.
• Maintain current level of funding for the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services budget appropriation of $150,000 for the Supported Employment Extended Services Program.
• Maintain or increase current level of funding in the Independent Living Act ($24,000.00).
• Maintain funding for the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services (WVDRS) Attendant Care Program.
  • The WVDRS Attendant Care Program is currently funded at $130,000.00 for fiscal year 2004. We are requesting a supplemental appropriation of $49,100.00 to continue the attendant care program for enrolled participants through fiscal year 2004.
  • Requesting $179,100.00 for the attendant care program in fiscal year 2005.

Mountain State Centers for Independent Living will monitor the activities of the Legislature for any other issues that may arise that impact the lives of people with disabilities in West Virginia.
