2005 Legislative Budget Priorities

Final Outcome

The WV Legislature passed the 2006 Budget in extended session on April 16, 2005 and is effective from the date of passage. Governor Manchin signed the Budget Bill into law on April 22, 2005. Appropriations included:

Independent Living $24,000
WVDRS Employment Attendant Care Program $179,000
Supported Employment, Extended Services $119,032
Ron Yost Personal Assistant Services (RYPAS) Program $340,000

Any unexpected balance remaining in the appropriation for the RYPAS fund at the close of Fiscal Year 2005 is hereby reappropriated for expenditure during Fiscal Year 2006.
