Vehicle Modification for MW

After learning about the Community Living Services Program, MW contacted our center in 2007 requesting vehicle modifications in the form of a power wheelchair carrier. MW had significant physical problems that had prevented him from leaving his home for four years. He told staff "I am a prisoner in my own home".

After waiting for over two years, he finally received the wheelchair carrier. MW said, "the center has given me my life back". He went on to say that he no longer has to rely on others to take him to medical appointments, grocery store, community activities, etc. He is driving, something he had not done for four years, and is enjoying his freedom and independence.

Total cost of services $2,538.
