Welcome to the 2006 Disability Caucus!
July 9th beginning at 12:30 p.m., Anne Weeks, President and CEO of Mountain State Centers for Independent Living and Brenda Goodfellow, Program Team Leader and Web site Advocate, are presenting a pre-Caucus session on "How to Use the Internet for Advocacy"
Since the Caucus is being conducted as a mock legislative session, the Caucus planners selected several topics that participants would address during their sessions. These topics will be the basis for writing legislation to be "passed" during an actual legislative session.
Brenda has researched Web sites that provide information on each of the topic areas, which are available by following the linked topics listed below.
During the Caucus, Anne and Brenda will be available in the computer lab provided by the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services (WVDRS) to assist Caucus participants in doing research for their committees while preparing legislation for the general session. Come by and say hey!
WVDRS staff will also be available to assist participants using adaptive software and hardware.
