Programs and services offered by the Alzheimer's Association, WV Chapter include:
The Helpline, 800-491-2717, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Someone is available to answer your questions, provide information on all aspects of the disease and on community resources.
Groups meet monthly all over our Chapter service area and provide support, information, as well as a listening ear to Alzheimer's families and caregivers. Anyone is welcome to attend. We stress that anything discussed in support groups will be kept confidential. To find a support group near you visit: http://www.wvalz.org/pages/support.htm
Through the Helpline, 800-491-2717, or in person, the staff will provide information, explain options for solving difficult situations or provide details on resources available in the community.
This handbook contains basic information on Alzheimer's disease and caregiving. It is available by calling Helpline 800-491-2717 or by ordering through the West Virginia Alzheimers Association Web site.
