The WV Department of Health and Human Resources (WVDHHR) is making changes to the Medicaid Waiver manual. A public meeting has been scheduled for July 19, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bureau of Senior Services located on the third floor of the Charleston Town Center Mall in Charleston, WV.
This may be your only opportunity to voice your concerns over proposed changes to the Waiver manual. The proposed changes will leave many people with disabilities across our state without services, with no other options than going to a nursing home or another state run facility. This will be a chance to let WVDHHR and the media know that individuals, parents, advocates and professionals should be participating in the process of designing systems that affect everyone.
