Mountain State Centers for Independent Living (MTSTCIL) is a community-based organization providing advocacy, networking, and resources to people with disabilities and their families. The centers are a place where people with disabilities are free to meet, share, learn and plan lives of greater independence and self reliance.
We had a great Independence Celebration this year that started with the Walk and 5K run at 8 a.m., the parade lined up at 10 a.m. and we all met at Ritter Park.
Thank you to all who participated and those who supported Mountain State Centers for Independent Living and people with disabilities in West Virginia.
Draft of State Plan 2017 to 2019 available for comments. Attend one of the public meetings or send in your comments. Learn more.
Advocacy is the core of our organization. We believe that by focusing on advocacy and teaching people with disabilities self-advocacy skills, our vision and mission can be achieved. Visit the Advocacy in Action section.
By raising the community's level of awareness about disabilities, our centers have the unique distinction of being both a resource for individuals and an advocacy organization in the community.
