Insurances

For the times when you aren't able to protect your home, you may want to consider insurance. There are many different kinds of insurance available, whether you rent or own your home. Some cover basics, such as theft and fire; others may cover natural disasters, such as flood, tornados, and earthquakes.

Before buying a policy, you'll want to review:

If you already have a policy, you should review it every year or two -- you're only insured for what the original policy promised so if you have purchased new personal items (such as computer or TVs) or if you own your home and its value has gone up, you may need to upgrade.

There are many different types of policies and insurance companies out there. If you do go with one, you want to be sure it has a good reputation and the right policy for you.

If you need more help in finding an insurance policy, contact the nearest MTSTCIL, and the staff there will be happy to help.
