As many of you may already know, our own Ann Watts McDaniel has been diagnosed with breast cancer. We all have been praying for her complete recovery and have offered her our support during her battle against this disease.

As reported by Anne Weeks, at the race on Saturday, May 5, 2007 in Charleston, WV.
We Are.......Ann's Team exceeded their goals as they headed into the Race for the Cure which was held this morning. The goal was to register 20 team members, and there were 30. The team also exceeded its goal of raising $1,000.
There were an estimated 4,500 people at the race. National sponsors as well as local sponsors set up tents and were giving away grab bag products advertising breast cancer awareness.
Several team members participated in the 5k race, while others participated in the walk. We also had several cheerleaders waiting on the side line.
Ann and her husband Daniel were able to make it as well. It was the first time several of us had seen Ann since her surgery. She has short hair and looks great! She has had her first chemotherapy treatment and is expected to have them through August.
Ann is very positive and was very appreciative of the team's efforts on her behalf. At the end of the race, the team presented her with a huge card that had all the names (over 80) of people who had contributed to the team.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who did their part to make the day a success for our team, from the donations to making our team t-shirts, to organizing and registering all the team members. Many thanks for everything. I know it means a great deal to Ann.
Please continue to keep Ann in your prayers and thoughts.
Prompted by information received by her doctor, Ann decided to have her hair cut before her chemo began. Ann donated her hair to Locks of Love and continues to be an inspiration to us all.
