The Foundation for Independent Living, the fund raising arm of Mountain State Centers for Independent Living (MTSTCIL), is this year's proud sponsor of the fourth annual Walk for Independence on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Barboursville Community Park in Barboursville, WV. Why We Walk

We walk to bring awareness of the successes and the empowerment of people with disabilities through the community service programs of Mountain State Centers for Independent Living. People with disabilities, their friends, neighbors, local businesses and their legislative representatives walk together to raise money to ensure the continuation of these important supports.

Community Partner Award

MTSTCIL will be awarding Mr. James Brooks of Brooks Remodeling in Raleigh County this year's "Community Partner Award". The award will be presented to Mr. Brooks by Anne Weeks, President/CEO of MTSTCIL, at the Walk for Independence 2007 on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Barboursville Community Park for his generous donation to the Independent Living (IL) community.
