Walk for Independence 2006

Foundation for Independent Living and ABLE/CAC are sponsoring the Walk for Independence 2006 on Saturday, July 22, 2006 to benefit Mountain State Centers for Independent Living. The Walk is a two mile trek through Ritter Park in Huntington, WV. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the Walk begins at 9 a.m.

The purpose of the Walk is to bring awareness to the community about the successes and lives of people with disabilities, as well as to raise money to continue financial support for services at Mountain State Centers for Independent Living. The Walk will create community awareness about people with disabilities and promote community awareness of your business and support of community service programs.

Teams

Each team that raises a minimum of $100 will be eligible to receive one t-shirt for each registered team member. Awards will be given to recognize the individual and team that raises the most money. An additional award will be given to the team with the most walkers. There will also be a special goodie bag for the Team Captains.
