Beckley Open House

On March 11, 2005, Mountain State Centers for Independent Living (MTSTCIL) in Beckley hosted an Open House from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for residents in the Raleigh County area.

Local community agencies were invited to set up displays and encouraged to do a brief presentation on the services available through their organization. This Open House afforded attendees an opportunity to learn more about our community agencies, Mountain State Centers for Independent Living and the availability of services.

MTSTCIL extends their appreciation to the local agencies that participated in our Open House and looks forward to continuing our community partnership with them in meeting the needs of our Raleigh County residents. Agencies participating included:

A luncheon of lasagna, meatballs, salad, rolls, fruit cups, cake and drinks were served to the 35 people attending this event. A special thank you goes to local resident, Shirley Bell who helped prepare and serve the luncheon as well as clean-up.
