Walk for Independence 2011 Sponsorship Opportunities

By providing a broad range of sponsorship opportunities, Mountain State Centers for Independent Living and the Tri-State Literacy Council invite everyone in the community to participate in our eighth annual walk - Walk for Independence 2011. All donors will be recognized on the day of the Walk.

All general unrestricted donations to the Walk for Independence 2011 will be shared equally with our strategic partner, the Tri-State Literacy Council.

Corporate Sponsor Naming Opportunity - minimum $5,000 donation

This opportunity will be available to only one sponsor.

Opportunity to be corporate partner in the Walk
Logo placement on Walk banner along with MTSTCIL and TSLC Walk logo (only the corporate sponsor who will be offered the logo placement opportunity)
Corporate name and logo included on advertising (from their date of commitment/payment), publicity, the t-shirt (for donations received by July 8, 2011)
Opportunity to elect to make an unrestricted donation or a directed gift
Ten (10) t-shirts provided to Corporate Sponsor

Also, our Corporate Sponsor will have a full page on this Web site to provide background and information, as well as logo. [By law we can not place advertisements on this site. The page would be for informational purposes only and will include a link to the Corporate Sponsor's Web site.]

Community Partners - minimum $2,500 donation

This category was established at Walk for Independence 2007 by the in-kind donation of Brooks Remodeling.

Opportunity to make unrestricted donation
Opportunity to make directed gift to either MTSTCIL or TSLC
Opportunity to make an in-kind donation valued at a minimum of $2,500
Donor name included on Walk t-shirt. Placement will be at top of t-shirt in larger size font (for donations received by July 8, 2011)
Four (4) t-shirts provided to Community Partner

Also, our Community Partners are offered the opportunity to be included on the Community Partners page on this Web site. The Community Partner can provide a short paragraph and logo for the page including a link to the Community Partner's Web site.

Friend of Walk - minimum $200

Friends of the Walk will have their name listed on our Friends of the Walk page on this Web site, along with a link to their Web site.

Name included on Walk t-shirt (for donations received by July 8, 2011)
Two (2) t-shirts provided to Community Sponsors

General Donations

General donations can be made by an individual walker, by a team of walkers or by any individuals or businesses that are unable to participate in the Walk.

Opportunity to make a directed gift to MTSTCIL or TSLC.
Donor's name will be included on the General Donations page of this Web site.
Twenty-five dollar ($25) cash donation entitles donor to one (1) t-shirt.
Donations can also be made in recognition of an individual or as a memorial for purposes of listing on the General Donations page.

Teams and Individual Walkers

Get your friends and co-workers, or start a team through your church or other community organization and join us as we walk. Not sure about starting a team?

Meet some of our teams for Walk for Independence 2010.

Individual walkers are always welcome. We invite individual walkers to join Team Freedom as we walk together, "opening doors to greater individual independence".
