The community partnership committee is responsible for identifying and selling sponsorship opportunities to potential and current community sponsors. They are also called to cultivate relationships with secured sponsors and ensure quality communication with community sponsors throughout the Walk season.
To raise significant sponsorship dollars to support Mountain State Centers for Independent Living's Community Living Services Program. To cultivate strong relationships with community sponsors.
This committee should work to secure cash and in-kind sponsorships from local businesses. The committee identifies possible sponsors through networking in the community. They keep records of who they have contacted and follow up to make sure all of the sponsor's information has been received. Once a sponsor has been secured, they work to maximize the partnership and build a relationship with the sponsor. After the event, make sure all follow-up and thank you letters are completed.
